Come along to the Walkers' Social in the beautiful Surrey Hills and enjoy an introduction to map reading and navigation from an experienced club member, as part of a separate group from the main social.
From the meeting point (TBC but accessible by train from London) you will have an introduction to the map and its use in lowland navigation, over a route 10-15km long. You will also visit open access land and be introduced to techniques you might use on mountain or moorland terrain. At the end of the day, you'll join up with the rest of the social at the pub.
This is suitable for complete novices wanting an introduction to navigation before building on their skills on weekend meets.
Sunday 13th April only - ignore the 14th in the dates.
